Dr. Eric Jackson
Eric grew up in Toronto and attended McMaster University for an honours degree in Life Sciences, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He married Catherine the weekend before starting chiropractic college at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto. She paid the freight!

After graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1983, and with their first child, they moved to Ottawa to start practice. Eric started a post-graduate fellowship in 1992 and became a Fellow of the Chiropractic Rehab Sciences (Canada) in 1996 as a specialist in rehabilitation. To add to the treatment options available, Eric studied acupuncture and graduated from the Acupuncture Council of Ontario/CMCC program in 2000. Eric became a postgraduate lecturer in acupuncture in 2001 at CMCC. For more on Eric's professional affiliations and achievements see his curriculum vitae.

Click to viewEric, Catherine and their four children live in west Ottawa, and enjoy cycling, snowboarding and hiking (Eric loves his ST1100 motorcycle too!). By God's grace, Eric hasn't missed a day at work in over 20 years. It is a joy to serve, encourage and teach health, healing and wholeness.

Dr. John Hall

John joined the Wellness House in 1987 after practicing for over 20 years in several countries around the world. Along with his Doctor of Chiropractic, he holds a Master of Arts degree in Missiology. As a teenager he was introduced to chiropractic, and after personally experiencing the benefit of this natural approach to health, dedicated himself to helping others. This led to work with a Mission Hospital in Vietnam in 1971, and later working in the Ecuadorian jungle as both pastor and Chiropractor.

He has a married daughter and 2 grand-children who live in Cambodia.  In his spare time he and his wife help local ethnic churches with their English ministries and enjoys swimming, classical music and learning more about computers.

He holds an advanced proficiency rating in the use of the Activator adjusting instrument, a gentle method of moving the vertebral segments without the noise (crack) that accompanies joint manipulation. Many find this technique to be both comfortable and effective in helping resolve spinal disorders. To learn more about this specialty, visit Activator Methods.

Dr. Tim Dickie
Tim is a former patient who has now joined the staff at Wellness House. Along with his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), he attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. He is trained in specialized techniques including flexion distraction (a gentle mobilization for lumbar spine disc protrusion/herniation) and acupuncture.

Since age 15, Tim has learned the important role chiropractic plays in living a healthy life. Dr. Dickie has been involved in competitive sports for the majority of his life and applies this “active lifestyle” approach to his patients. Currently, he is running a “Walking to Wellness” program in association with the Dovercourt Community Centre.

Popie
Popie has always been interested in helping people and in 1987 she had the perfect opportunity of doing just that by joining the office staff at the Wellness House. Along with caring for people in the office, Popie has also found many ways to put organizational skills to good use in the operation of the clinic.

Lois

Lois started as a patient of the Wellness House and enjoyed the office atmosphere so much she decided to stay. She believes very strongly in "humour therapy".

Janet
Janet started at the Wellness House as a patient over 19 years ago and knows the benefits that can be attained through chiropractic care. She joined our staff in 2001 and has contributed to the smooth operation and organization of the front desk.

Catherine
In so many ways, Catherine has been the "backbone" of the office. The gofer, bookkeeper, fill-in staff member, manager and encourager. She has had a small, rather minor role to play in the development of the web site and will be helping to keep Wellness House connected.
